Audubon’s Silver Bluff Sanctuary is a 3,400-acre woodland overlooking the Savannah River, where you’ll find extensive pine and bottomland hardwood forests, 6 miles of walking trails, 50 acres of lakes and ponds and 100 acres of grassland. ams that support a wide variety of wildlife, including over 200 species of birds such as Wood Storks and Bald Eagles. Visitors can enjoy a system of walking trails and special-event programming throughout the year, and learn of the rich history of the property that features visits by Spanish and English explorers, an 18th century trading post, and a Revolutionary War skirmish.

Don't forget that we're hosting our annual Storks & Corks event on Saturday, August 8th! Come celebrate the success of heroic conservation and land management practices at Silver Bluff that have allowed species like the Wood Stork to continue to thrive here. Wine and other beverages will be on hand, and after watching the Wood Storks glean for aquatic treats in the foraging pond you'll have the opportunity to glean your own treats back at the center (with more wine, of course).
