The Business and Industry Political Education Committee (BIPEC) is a 501c6 membership organization founded in 1979 by Mississippi’s business and professional leaders. BIPEC is a nonprofit association comprised of individuals, trade associations and companies who unite to protect and advance free enterprise through research, education, and member action. About BIPEC
• BIPEC learns backgrounds, vot
ing records and key positions of members and candidates for Statewide Office, the Legislature, Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. BIPEC disseminates research findings to members, educates membership on the impact that elected officials and judge-made decisions have on economic growth and MS employers.
• BIPEC also collects information on the potential effect of any proposed amendments to the State Constitution, whether proposed by the Legislature or by initiative of the people, and disseminates that research to members of the organization and the general public for educational purposes.
• For 37 years, BIPEC has provided the business community with information to assess the business performance of the legislature. The BIPEC “Business & Jobs” Legislator Report Card is a resource for employers to gauge the pro-business acumen and action of their legislators.
• BIEPC is the unifying organization for 30+ trade/professional associations in Mississippi.
• BIPEC is an independent, autonomous organization and is not affiliated with any political party or candidate.
