We have our new radar speed display signs out! These handy signs aren’t just for decoration… they’re there to remind everyone to check their speed and keep our roads safe for neighbors, kids, and even the occasional wandering squirrel 🐿️💨
Think of them as your friendly roadside coach!
Remember, it’s not about tickets — it’s about safety. A few miles per hour can make a big difference!
So next time you see your speed light up, give us your best “under the limit” performance !
And don’t think about trying for a high score! They are set to shut off and not display excessive speeds.

After losing count of how many incidents involving over confident trucks and our beloved bridge, we have decided to take the same approach as other local communities and add a round about! Don’t worry, the crane isn’t staying… The roof will be moved to the site of the historical society for preservation! A few traffic updates with this new configuration:
1. Trucks over 9’2” no longer need to pass with a prayer and a tape measure.
2. Please yield to locals still emotionally processing this change and
3. No donuts in the circle… unless they are edible and in that case, bring enough for our Officers!

We appreciate your patience while we continue to find creative ways to protect our towns history from modern-day bumper bullies.

This Jeep did NOT come outfitted with skis and it also shows the commercials are exaggerated! Driving on Xc ski trails is prohibited in Jackson. Ducks fly south for the winter so even they couldn’t help this Jeep stay afloat.

The department provides police and emergency medical services to the residents and visitors of the Town ofJackson NH. We have a strong reputation for delivering public safety services in a fair and professional manner. Jackson is an idyllic 4-season resort community with much to offer the successful candidate. Starting pay: $60,552+. Increases for EMT or current certified officers. Pay is commensurate with experience.

This morning, the Groundhog issued his official 2026 forecast. Get those skis tuned up! After a brief investigation (and zero cooperation from Punxsutawney Phil), we can confirm:
According to the Groundhog, we’re getting: 6 more weeks of winter!
Our officers attempted to question him further, but he immediately retreated into his hole and refused to provide credentials, identification, or probable cause.
As always, please remember:
