Hey Folks - We are Double D Ranch Dexter Beef and we were just now able to add one more steer to our upcoming harvests in October that have been sold out. So that means we are opening up orders for this last steer and he's a beauty!
Here are the details:
Sold by the 1/4, 1/2 or whole beef.
Local, 100% grass fed purebred Dexter Beef raised on lush pastures in the beautiful Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon.
We guarantee you will absolutely love our beef or we will buy it back!
Pricing is as follows:
1/2 or whole beef - $6 lb x hanging weight
1/4 beef - $6.50 lb x hanging weight
Average total price of our beef based on our average hanging weights of 450 # per whole steer:
✓ 1/4 beef = $725+ butcher fees
✓ 1/2 beef = $1,350+ butcher fees
Final total price varies somewhat based on the actual hanging weight of your beef but this is a good average to plan and budget for.

butcher in the most humane and
respectful way possible.
We work with highly respected Rogue Valley craftsman butcher - Nate's Custom Farm Butchering for the harvesting and processing of your beef.
They will call and work directly with you on all aspects of the cutting and wrapping of your beef.
Their custom butcher fees are paid directly to them on the day you pick up your beef as follows:
$37.50 harvest fee per 1/4
$75 harvest fee per 1/2
+ Custom cut and wrap @ .95 cents per pound
We have found buying our bulk beef for your freezer is about a 50% savings or more than if you bought the equivalent comparable grass fed beef at local stores! Plus you always have it at your fingertips when you want it!
How much packaged beef can I expect to receive back for my freezer?
Based on our averages and depending somewhat on how you have your beef processed, you can expect to receive back approximately:
1/4 beef = 70 - 80 pounds of packaged beef
1/2 beef = 140 - 160 pounds of packaged beef
