About Us The Onslow Water and Sewer Authority (ONWASA) is a government entity that provides water and sewer services (wastewater) to the unincorporated areas of Onslow County which includes areas outside of the town limits of Jacksonville, all of the Town of Holly Ridge, Town of Swansboro, Town of Richlands, as well as the Town of North Topsail Island, North Carolina. ONWASA currently provides water to approximately 56 percent of the County population. ONWASA's Board of Directors is the trustee for the water and sewer system of Onslow County with complete authority and control of the management and operation of the Utility, in accordance with NC General Statutes and subsequent bond ordinances. The Board adopts the annual budget; sets rates, fees and charges based on cost-of-service principles; approves bond issues to fund capital projects; makes policy decisions; and appoints the Executive Director, General Counsel and independent auditor. We do not receive property taxes, sales taxes, etc. We occasionally receive State or Federal grants for special purposes such as purchases of infrastructure and facilities. ONWASA's administrative and customer service office is at 228 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville, NC. Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except holidays). Did you know the most common cause for sewer backups are pipes blocked by grease poured down household drains? Sewer overflows and backups can cause costly damage to home and business interiors and threaten the environment. To avoid expensive cleanup, repair cost, and inconvenience, pour your cooled oil or grease into a container; then seal and discard with your regular trash.

Hello! Where can I find the most recent water test results, particularly for mineral levels? Copper iron etc. Thank you!
Hello for Richlands NC when was the notice sent out to people that trash fees would increase? I don’t recall seeing a notice. Extremely frustrating.
Really? Ever heard of a PHONE CALL? I have a sick me, sick 11 month old and Two sick dogs. Thank God it was not a day when we did the aquariums. I live on Queens Haven Rd. How dare you NOT send automated call. Dont Dare say you did. I have phone records. I get them for every other thing. I will Be calling into your office tomorrow to have on recorded call the horrible health issues we developed from the water. I am now saving stool/vomiting samples from the baby and dogs....I just cant believe this
Why isn't there an alert for Sneads Ferry? There is no water here!!!
Thank you Onwasa for all you do.
I want to know who is in charge of your company? Like who is the head office to file a formal complaint if the local office act like they don't care about their customers!
OK...Got Me ONWASA. I live by myself, I'm 65 years old. I crawled under my house took pictures no leaks under house, no leaks out side, no running toilets But, they say I used 9000 gals in August $58 and 18,500 gals of water for a $92 water bill for month of September. Ever since they changed meters, my water bill has doubled...now since I've complainted for 2 months, oh my water usage is now normal. Nothing has changed at my house. So take my money, I have no choice but to pay. I'm suppose to believe I'm wrong and ONWASA is right.
Boil water NTB? Heard it is lifted.
I expect a better job then this! Onwasa installed the new water meter in my yard and left it six inches above ground and clay mated in the grass. This install is unacceptable!
I see my post was censored. Guess the truth hurts but i am still being advantage of by a bunch of cheats and will get my message out other ways.
Hey, you ever gonna address the water pressure issues on Seashore Drive, NTB. Water pressure goes down to zero on holiday weekends. Been complaining for almost five years and you refuse to accept responsibility for your failures.
Beware of ONWASA's billing practices. They squeeze you for every nickel and dime they can....
