Wednesday #ncwx update:
• Expected snowfall totals have increased slightly for Western NC and northern portions of Central and Eastern NC. Rain is expected to change to a rain/snow mix, then mostly snow by tonight. Most accumulations outside of the mountains will be on grassy surfaces, but a quick burst of mostly snow could produce accumulations on paved surfaces as well.

WESTERN NC:
• A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for lower elevations (< 3,500 ft.) and a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for higher elevations (>3,500 ft.) from 6 pm today through noon Thursday. The heaviest snow is forecast for higher elevations through mid-morning Thursday.
• Between 1 and 6 inches of snow is forecast for western counties. Accumulation amounts will vary depending on elevation.
• With temperatures dipping below freezing tonight, plan on slippery road conditions Thursday morning.
• Strong gusty winds with gusts 40-50 mph are likely tonight. Wind chill values will fall near zero by daybreak Thursday.

CENTRAL & EASTERN NC:
• A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for northern portions of Central and Eastern NC, where 0.5-1.5” of snowfall accumulations are possible through Thursday morning.
• Precipitation is forecast to end shortly after sunrise Thursday morning. Scattered slick spots are expected, particularly on bridges and elevated roadways.
• Wind gusts between 35 and 40 mph are likely Thursday in this region. A Wind Advisory will go into effect from midnight tonight through 7 pm Thursday for Hatteras Island, Ocracoke Island, Northern Outer Banks and east Carteret County. North winds 25-35 mph with gusts 45-50 mph are expected.
• A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for the soundside of Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands and portions of eastern Carteret County (including adjacent tidal creeks) from 1 am to 7 pm Thursday.

Did you know the most common cause for sewer backups are pipes blocked by grease poured down household drains? Sewer overflows and backups can cause costly damage to home and business interiors and threaten the environment. To avoid expensive cleanup, repair cost, and inconvenience, pour your cooled oil or grease into a container; then seal and discard with your regular trash.

We are in the Preserve at Tidewater and our water is coming out brown. Turkey Creek fire was out yesterday flushing the hydrants and one of the guys had an brown oily residue after running his hand in the water coming out.
Hello! Where can I find the most recent water test results, particularly for mineral levels? Copper iron etc. Thank you!
Hello for Richlands NC when was the notice sent out to people that trash fees would increase? I don’t recall seeing a notice. Extremely frustrating.
Really? Ever heard of a PHONE CALL? I have a sick me, sick 11 month old and Two sick dogs. Thank God it was not a day when we did the aquariums. I live on Queens Haven Rd. How dare you NOT send automated call. Dont Dare say you did. I have phone records. I get them for every other thing. I will Be calling into your office tomorrow to have on recorded call the horrible health issues we developed from the water. I am now saving stool/vomiting samples from the baby and dogs....I just cant believe this
Why isn't there an alert for Sneads Ferry? There is no water here!!!
Thank you Onwasa for all you do.
I want to know who is in charge of your company? Like who is the head office to file a formal complaint if the local office act like they don't care about their customers!
OK...Got Me ONWASA. I live by myself, I'm 65 years old. I crawled under my house took pictures no leaks under house, no leaks out side, no running toilets But, they say I used 9000 gals in August $58 and 18,500 gals of water for a $92 water bill for month of September. Ever since they changed meters, my water bill has doubled...now since I've complainted for 2 months, oh my water usage is now normal. Nothing has changed at my house. So take my money, I have no choice but to pay. I'm suppose to believe I'm wrong and ONWASA is right.
Boil water NTB? Heard it is lifted.
I expect a better job then this! Onwasa installed the new water meter in my yard and left it six inches above ground and clay mated in the grass. This install is unacceptable!
I see my post was censored. Guess the truth hurts but i am still being advantage of by a bunch of cheats and will get my message out other ways.
Hey, you ever gonna address the water pressure issues on Seashore Drive, NTB. Water pressure goes down to zero on holiday weekends. Been complaining for almost five years and you refuse to accept responsibility for your failures.
