RIP Chief Lefoy

It is with heavy hearts that we honor the life and legacy of Retired Chief Walter L. LeFoy.

Chief LeFoy faithfully served the City of Anniston and the surrounding area for 38 years after beginning his career with the Anniston Fire Department in 1964. Through his dedication, leadership, and commitment to public service, he rose through the ranks and was promoted to Fire Chief in June of 1990, a position he proudly held for the next 12 years where he ultimately retired in February of 2002.

Chief LeFoy was a respected leader who served his department and community with dedication throughout his career.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the LeFoy family during this difficult time. May they find comfort, peace, and strength in the memories they shared with him.

Thank you, Chief LeFoy, for your years of dedicated service, leadership, and sacrifice.
