Dragging tow chains, faulty parts throwing sparks, or parking over dry grass can start a fire without you even knowing. Take steps today to make sure that your vehicle doesn't start the next wildfire.

-Get your vehicle serviced
-Make sure your tow chains are not dragging before leaving.
-NEVER park over dried grass

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage our community to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day and remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy.

From all of us at Applegate Fire District, we extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen service members and their families.

We remember. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Celebrate responsibly this Memorial Day Weekend. Campfires are one of the top causes of human-caused fires in Oregon and completely preventable. Before starting a fire, check local and park restrictions to see if there are any burn bans or extra restrictions in place. Never leave your campfire unattended and always make sure the fire is DEAD OUT before leaving.

For more information on campfire safety and restrictions, visit Oregon State Parks website. https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=v.feature-article&articleId=382

๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ Congratulations, Greg! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’
Join us in celebrating Firefighter Greg Britt-Hart on successfully passing his NFPA Firefighter I Yellow Helmet Evaluation!

This is a huge accomplishment, one that takes time, dedication, skill, and proficiency to achieve. Earning your yellow helmet marks an important milestone and represents the first step in a lifelong journey of learning and service in the fire service.

Weโ€™d also like to extend a sincere thank you to Gregโ€™s crew and instructors for their commitment, guidance, and support in helping him reach this achievement. Your investment in training and mentorship makes all the difference.

Congratulations, Firefighter Britt-Hart, we look forward to watching you continue to grow, sharpen your skills, and serve our communities with pride and professionalism.
