Meet Puddy Tat!
Our boy Puddy Tat has a big friendly personality and a little meow! He is the sweetest and handsomest of boys. Puddy Tat is a special needs cat. He has tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FELV). This virus may or may not cause illness in Puddy Tat. Right now, Puddy Tat is a happy, healthy, loving boy. But signs of illness may be weight loss, mouth inflammation, fever or other illness. Puddy Tat is ESTIMATED to have a good quality of life for about 2 years, but he could also have a normal life. FELV is contagious to other cats, NOT HUMANS OR OTHER ANIMALS, so we recommend Puddy Tat be the only cat in the house and never go outside. Puddy Tat should have a check up with a veterinarian after adoption and then yearly to monitor his health. There is no treatment for FELV. While we know that it may be a challenge to find an adopter for a special needs cat like Puddy Tat, we believe that such a good boy deserves the chance to be placed in a loving home.
