Rotary District 7730

Meeting each week for breakfast since March 28, 1985, a group of community leaders show up for each other and the community they care so much for. That is how Rotarians have made changes in millions of people's lives around the globe.

Today, on behalf of immediate Past District Governor Doug Wolfe, we congratulate President Chris Felden, who is serving two terms for his Club as President for advancing the ideals of Rotary through service to the community and Club leadership.

Dear Friends of Rotary, On June 21st our Rotary Club is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive. It will be from 11:30 AM to 5 PM at the Navy Federal Credit Union on Western Blvd across from Sam's Club. This community service is so important, as there is a Blood shortage in the Carolinas. Giving blood saves lives, so come out and be our hero, and donate. Have some juice and cookies on us, afterwards.
We are dedicating this drive to Retired Sgt.Maj Joe Houle who is still recovering from a month long illness. Joe would appreciate your help !!
Sincerely,
David Zelinski, President

Calling all boaters!!! Holiday Greetings from this Jacksonville Breakfast Rotary Club!! It's that time of year again when do our final preparations for our annual Christmas Flotilla on the New River. This year will be our 31st annual flotilla.

We're still taking applications for more boats for our flotilla. We've all had to regroup from Hurricane Florence, but we're ready to go and hope that we can count on your participation once again. As before, our flotilla will be part of the Jacksonville Winterfest on December 1, and we'll be awarding cash prizes of $200.00, $150.00, and $50.00 for the top three boats. Plus, all captains and crews will once again be invited to our post-flotilla fish fry.

For more information please call 919-699-7911, send an email to [email protected], or contact any member of the Jacksonville Breakfast Rotary Club.

We hope to see you there!!

Thank you, Jacksonville Breakfast Rotarians, for the pleasure of your company this morning. Your guest speaker, Frank Duggan, got things rolling with his inspiring remarks about profiles in courage, and we all enjoyed the lively conversation that followed. Rotary Connects The World—indeed it does!
Sending you good wishes and hope you're doing well.
Go wood ducks! What a great time. I suggest everyone experience a wood duck game at least once. As for me and the misses, we will return.
