Jacksonville Community Support needed! Happy Sunday, Jacksonville and surrounding communities! Our JACKSONVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL teachers, staff, and admin POUR daily into the future of this community. Help me fill their buckets by stocking our teacher lounge with snacks, water, drinks, chocolate, etc. I think we deserve it! Thank you to all those that have continued to support JMS. You are appreciated more than you know!

My goodness! 12 days in and GREAT things are happening at JMS! 6th graders learned their work styles with Ms. Travis, created a slide show to compare their Geography of Me vs Ancient Civilizations geography with Mr. Dennis, and collaboration and critical thinking at its best as students built a bridge in a science lab with Mrs. Smith using 2 cups, 2 pieces of paper, and pennies. Fun has taken place these past 12 days. Stay tuned for more fun and learning.

Hey, JMS Parents and Guardians! Our first day was exciting, fast, and a first day. As you put your child on the bus or in the car tomorrow, PLEASE share with him/her whether they will ride the bus, van, or be a car rider. Today, was tough for many students because they didn’t know. Also, if you’ve changed your address or phone number, please call the school. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked through the bus/car difficulty today. We really appreciate that. It’s really wonderful to see parents who are calm and respectful even when they are upset, and we thank you. It helps us help you better. Have a good night! ❤️

📢 Attention 8th Grade Families with Students Enrolled in Accelerated Courses

Beginning tomorrow, all 8th grade students enrolled in accelerated classes at Jacksonville Middle School will begin their school day at the high school. Scholars who have the following courses on their schedules are in the Accelerated Cohort: English 1, Physical Science, and Algebra 1.

Once their accelerated classes have concluded, students will be transported by bus back to Jacksonville Middle School to complete the remainder of their school day.

At the end of the day, students will follow their normal transportation arrangements to return home.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Edwards at [email protected].

📢 Important Information for New JMS Families

We are excited to welcome our new students to Jacksonville Middle School tomorrow!

If your child is new to the district, please make sure their registration is fully complete and that they have received a class schedule before dropping them off at school.

Students who do not have a completed registration and current class schedule should not be dropped off without a parent or guardian present. If our registrar is still missing required information or documentation, we will not be able to complete the student's enrollment or place them in classes. A parent/guardian will need to remain with the student or pick them up until registration can be completed.

If you are unsure whether your child's registration is complete or whether they have a schedule, please contact one of our middle school counselors or a member of the JMS administration before dropping your student off.

If you need to provide information or documentation directly to our registrar, Ms. Tonia Bradley, you may contact her at [email protected].

We want every new Titan's first day to go as smoothly as possible, and confirming registration ahead of time will help us get your student to class and ready for a great start! ⚡
