Crews are currently on scene of a structure fire in the 4000 block of Arnold Lane.

Law enforcement is assisting with traffic control in the area. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes to allow emergency crews to safely respond and operate.

Update at 6:25 PM:

The fire has been knocked down. Crews will remain on scene extinguishing hot spots and are expected to be working in the area for a while this evening.

Roads in the area have reopened. The cause of the fire will be under investigation. This will be the final update unless conditions were to change.

Update at 5:19 PM:

West Main Street is being shut down at Hwy 238 to the west of the incident and at Pioneer Ave to the east.

Crews are on scene of a structure fire in the 4000 block of West Main Street in Medford near Arnold Lane. Law enforcement is assisting with traffic control in the area.

Our department continues to remain fully staffed 24/7 through callback staffing to ensure emergency response coverage for the Jacksonville community while resources are assigned to the incident.

The Jacksonville Fire Department is sharing the following shelter information provided by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office for those impacted by the Woodrat Mountain Fire.
