It’s ALWAYS a great day to be a ZECA Eagle!

We have officially completed our second week of school, and we are still doing exactly what we said we would do: SUSTAIN THE GAIN!

And we have something special to celebrate! For the first time since COVID, ZECA has a classroom teacher at every grade level, kindergarten through eighth grade. Fully staffed and loaded.

We are excited about what this school year has in store.

Meet Mrs. Aime, ZECA School of Arts and Technology’s 5th Grade teacher.

Mrs. Aime is excited to be your child’s teacher. After growing up in New York City, she recently made a big move to North Carolina, beginning an exciting new chapter in her life.

At ZECA, Mrs. Aime will teach 4th and 5th Grade English Language Arts. She looks forward to getting to know each student and helping make the classroom a fun place to learn, ask questions, and grow.

Outside of teaching, Mrs. Aime enjoys crocheting, creating, watching movies and shows, and exploring new places. Please join us in welcoming her to the ZECA family.

Meet Ms. Moseley, ZECA School of Arts and Technology’s 4th Grade teacher.

Ms. Moseley is excited to be part of the ZECA family. She is a proud UNC Pembroke graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master of Public Administration. After teaching first grade in Cumberland County, she is excited to continue growing as an educator while working with her students at ZECA.

Ms. Moseley loves making learning fun, being creative, and building meaningful relationships with her students. She believes every child has unique gifts and the ability to learn, grow, and shine.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with family, growing in her faith, and finding ways to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Please join us in welcoming Ms. Moseley to the ZECA family.

Meet Ms. Bayles, ZECA School of Arts and Technology’s 3rd Grade teacher.

Ms. Bayles is excited to begin her fourth year of teaching and her first year at ZECA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Childhood Trauma.

Originally from Lake Ozark, Missouri, Ms. Bayles recently moved to Jacksonville from Seattle to be near her sister and sweet nephew. Her goal is to foster an environment where every student feels a strong sense of belonging and understands the importance of their voice in the classroom.

She is thrilled to welcome students to third grade and looks forward to a fantastic year. Please join us in welcoming Ms. Bayles to the ZECA family.

Mr. Carlo Rouse is a dedicated music educator, musician, and performing artist with a passion for inspiring students through the power of music. He brings classroom experience, musical knowledge, and real-world performance experience to his students.

As a performing artist, Mr. Rouse gives students the opportunity to see how the skills they develop in the classroom can translate into real-world musical experiences. We are excited for him to help our Eagles discover their creativity, confidence, and voice through music.

Meet Mrs. Rojo, ZECA School of Arts and Technology’s Second Grade teacher.

Mrs. Rojo loves being a student herself. She has studied Global Business, German, Social Justice and Human Rights, and Elementary Education. A San Diego native who has lived all over the country, she was especially excited to experience life in Japan, Germany, and Austria.

When she is not busy studying, Mrs. Rojo enjoys spending time with her children, playing tennis, hiking, cooking, and practicing Duolingo. She has loved her time at ZECA so far and cannot wait to see what the year will bring.

Mrs. Roberson is passionate about teaching and learning with our school’s littlest learners. In her classroom, she provides engaging instruction with a focused commitment to strengthening reading, phonics, comprehension, and foundational math skills.

She also loves integrating music and art into the daily curriculum to make learning dynamic and joyful. Her goal is to spark a lifelong love of school through a creative, supportive, and energetic environment for every child.
