Mission: We are a Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron tasked to provide Assualt Support transport of combat troops, supplies and equipment during expeditionary, joint or combined operations including short notice, worldwide employment in support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.

Due to scheduled renovations AS-4000 Sports & Fitness Center will be closing beginning July 11. Renovations will include, but not limited to:

Fact: The Good Conduct Medal is one of the oldest military awards of the United States Armed Forces, first awarded by the Navy in 1869, with the Marine Corps version being established in 1896.

FREE SHOWINGS JULY 3-12!
The Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River theaters will reopen for business on Friday, July 3. Due to the movie studios delaying new releases, the theaters will be showing your favorite blockbusters from the past. Admission is FREE and concessions will be available for purchase!
For your safety, occupancy is limited so that social distancing standards can be maintained. Face coverings are required to be worn when social distancing can’t be safely maintained. Extra cleaning procedure have also been implemented.
The Midway Park Theater will remain closed until renovations are complete.

To ensure our swimmers safety, social distancing and sanitizing guidelines will be required. Pools will operate at a lower capacity than normal. All patrons must shower before and after swimming in pool.
Tarawa Terrace pool closed on Tuesdays.
Paradise Point pool closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
New River pool closed Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 464 (HMH-464) was reactivated under the Command of LtCol Flynn at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina on March 1, 1981 tasked to receive and introduce the CH-53E Super Stallion to the Fleet Marine Force. It became the first Marine squadron to receive the first production CH-53E aircraft in mid-1981.
