MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River can expect to experience on base retail fuel shortages similar to those experienced in the greater Onslow County area for the foreseeable future. The high demand is leading to long lines and rapid sell outs.

MCCS is receiving reduced deliveries of fuel for retail stores. Types and quantities delivered will vary. Please be patient. Expect long lines. Do not block entrances and exits while in line. Please ensure you leave room for emergency vehicles. Patrons should not bring fuel cans to the pumps.

The G-4 does not currently forecast a shortage of fuel for official DOD and tactical vehicles (distributed from fuel farms).

Personnel with questions on telework options or leave should contact their respective chain of command for guidance.

March 1st, 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 464. We could not be more proud to be a part of, and carry on the amazing legacy left by our predecessors. We wanted to celebrate this milestone as a warrior family by bringing both past and present Condors together to honor our rich heritage, proven in both combat and peacetime. However as all warriors do, we must honor the threat, and attack the enemy by exploiting its weakness in order to defeat its strength. In recognition of the current threat that COVID-19 poses, we must pause coming together until such time when the virus has been successfully exploited and its strengths have been defeated. When that time arrives, and risks have been duly mitigated, we will come together under one roof to celebrate the heritage that is, Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 464. We look forward to this, and when the opportunity arises, we will announce the details to all. Until then, we will keep fighting and winning. Semper Fidelis Condors.
