Yesterday, we shared highlights from a special event where we welcomed our new Director and celebrated a valued team member as they began a new chapter.
Today, we'd like to take a moment to officially introduce our new Director, Malana Williams.
We are excited to have her join our team and look forward to the leadership, experience, and passion she brings to our organization. Please join us in welcoming her as she begins this new role serving our participants, staff, and community.

Malana Williams began her role as Senior Services Director for Onslow County Senior Services on May 18, 2026. Ms. Williams brings more than 15 years of experience in public service, social services, program management, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving individuals and families, developing innovative programs, and building partnerships that strengthen communities.
Prior to joining Onslow County Senior Services, Ms. Williams served as Senior Center Director for the Warren County Senior Center, where she oversaw daily operations, managed grants and budgets, developed programs for older adults, and led initiatives to enhance service delivery and organizational excellence. Her professional experience also includes leadership and direct-service roles with Children's Home Society of North Carolina, county departments of social services, and senior housing support programs.
Ms. Williams holds a Master of Public Administration from Ashford University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Elizabeth City State University. Her expertise includes program development, strategic planning, resource coordination, staff leadership, and community collaboration.
As Senior Services Director, Ms. Williams is committed to enhancing the quality of life for older adults in Onslow County by promoting programs and services that support healthy aging, independence, engagement, and access to community resources. She looks forward to working alongside staff, community partners, volunteers, and residents to continue building a strong and supportive network for the county's senior population.
