Onslow County is scheduling appointments for 65+. The two ways to register are:
(1) Complete the form online (previously was two forms now condensed into one) email it to [email protected] and wait for a call from a scheduler.
(2) Call Citizens Phone Bank and have them assist you with completing the forms and await a call back from a scheduler.

** For second dose appointments you do not have to call the Citizens Phone Bank to set your appointment. A scheduler will call you.

We appreciate your patience and support as we understand this is a multi-step process. Our team is doing the best they can to schedule appointments, take calls, return calls, and vaccinate our community.

COVID-19 can spread anywhere, even places you feel safe, like your home. If one person in your household gets COVID-19, they can spread it, even if they don’t have symptoms.

If someone you live with tests positive for #COVID19:
• Separate the person from others, if possible.
• Wear a mask when caring for them.
• Wash your hands often.
• Disinfect high touch surfaces regularly.

Be safe this holiday season!

Like Thanksgiving, we need to rethink what it means to celebrate this December.

We are just seeing the Thanksgiving COVID-19 spike over the last few days and the Christmas holidays could be even worse. The safest option is to connect online or by phone. If you must gather in person, try to get tested first, do it outdoors, limit the number of people, and wear a mask.

Today we will share a series of three "Sneaky" Winter Hazards that you may face while out driving. Remember to plan a little extra time for morning commutes during the winter when roads may be wet and/or slick.

Winter storms can make driving and walking extremely dangerous. Winter storms can be deceptive killers because most deaths are indirectly related to the storm. People die in traffic accidents on icy roads, have heart attacks while shoveling snow, or succumb to fires or carbon monoxide while trying to heat their home improperly. With proper planning and preparation, you can limit or even mitigate the impacts from winter storms.

Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults | Onslow County, NC

Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults is also known as CAP/DA. This program serves as an alternative to nursing home care for adults who wish to remain in their homes and communities. The program is intended to supplement but not replace existing formal and informal services.

CAP/DA is Medicaid funded and is intended for individuals who have very limited financial resources. CAP/DA is a waiver program and as such, differs from regular Medicaid. The most significant difference is that eligibility is determined by the income and assets of the beneficiary only. In some instances a beneficiary may be required to pay a monthly deductible toward their cost of care. Your Medicaid eligibility specialist can tell you if this will apply to you and to what extent.
