In case you hear of a murder in Argyle Forest, it happened in the Ivy Lakes neighborhood of Chimney Lakes at 8860 Ivymill Court at the corner of Irongate Drive and Ivymill Place North. News vehicles and the JSO crime scene vehicle were on site when we were leaving for church this morning.
I will add the news links and other information to this post as it becomes available.

I have verbally told people that TEMU is SpyWare and now here you have it in writing....
"If you have the TEMU app delete it now!

Below is some information on this app
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
regarding the shopping app TEMU ...

Radio talk show hostess, Kim Komando, did some digging about TEMU and this is what she found!

https://www.komando.com/kims-column/temu-security-concerns/883861/?amp

Seemingly overnight, everyone’s talking about Temu (pronounced “tee-moo”), an online shopping app that boasts deals that seem too good to be true, like $17 wireless earbuds, $1 “gold” necklaces and $23 wedding dresses.
Over 50 million Americans have downloaded Temu since it launched state-side in September 2022, after it gained traction with expensive Super Bowl ads promising to let you “shop like a billionaire.”
Today, Temu is the most popular shopping app in the U.S. behind Amazon. But most of us don’t know much about the app’s true origins. Reader Daniel Mayer asked an important question, “Is [Temu] something we should be concerned about?”
So, I did some digging. And as it turns out, yes, you absolutely should be. Here’s what I found:
Where did Temu come from?
This isn’t some fly-by-night operation. Temu is based in Boston, Massachusetts, by PDD Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: PDD). PDD is headquartered in Shanghai, China.
PDD also owns the e-commerce platform Pinduoduo headquartered in — you guessed it — China. So, Temu is a Communist China-based app and site.
What you need to know before using Temu
First, you’re buying goods directly from manufacturers in China and other parts of the world. That’s why shipping times are often 12 days or longer. The prices are low because the goods are cheap. The pictures of what you see advertised may not be what you actually get.
Temu’s BBB rating is 2.21/5. Reviews at TrustPilot are interesting, with 38% 5-star reviews and 41% 1-star reviews.
But that’s not the worst of it.
Temu is downright dangerous.
The app is a clever, pervasive digital stalker. As you shop, Temu monitors your activity on other apps, tracks your notifications and location and changes settings.

It gets worse. Temu gains full access to all your contacts, calendars and photo albums, plus all your social media accounts, chats and texts. In other words, literally everything on your phone.
No shopping app needs this much control, especially one tied to Communist China. If you’re using Temu, delete the app from your phone ASAP.
On iPhone, Long-press an app, then tap Remove App > Delete App. Tap Delete to confirm.
On Android, touch and hold an app, then tap Remove App > Delete App > Delete.
Pro tip: If you downloaded Temu, to be safe from Chinese spies, you really need to do a full factory reset.
But wait, there’s more! Temu’s sister app was removed from Google Play because of Malware.

Do not buy from this company, or use their app!

COPY AND PASTE to share!

The popular shopping app Temu is too dangerous to have on your device. Here's why you must delete the app ASAP!

The First Coast Expressway (FCE, SR 23) is a multi-lane, limited access toll road that, once completed, will cross parts of Duval, Clay and St. Johns counties. Expressway traffic will pass through electronic toll gantries without stopping. The gantries will contain an electronic system that will either detect the vehicle's SunPass transponder device or scan the vehicle's license plate for a toll-by-plate invoice in the mail. The total length of the proposed roadway is approximately 46 miles. The FCE will reduce congestion on other major roadways in the region, important not only for daily commuters but also critically important during times of storm-related evacuation. Toll collection on the First Coast Expressway began in July 2019.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — First Coast News reported this incident Saturday night. This is an update.
A pedestrian was attempting to cross Argyle Forest Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when she was struck and killed by a car, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said at press briefing.
It appeared that the pedestrian's vehicle had broken down in the area. She attempted to cross the roadway towards the Dollar General store when the Genesis struck her.
The driver lost control of the car, which was described by the police as a Genesis, and swerved into a Honda CRV, JSO Lt. Mana said.
There was no crosswalk at the scene.
The two passengers in each car were also injured. Their injuries are minor, Mana said.
There were no signs that either driver was driving impaired at the time.

d. ‘Jacksonville is bleeding’: Grieving community shaken after deadly shooting at Dollar General
Community stunned over senseless murders; FBI calls attack ‘hate-filled’ crime
https://www.news4jax.com/news/local/2023/08/27/jacksonville-is-bleeding-grieving-community-shaken-after-deadly-shooting-at-dollar-general-store/
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Northwest Jacksonville community is shaken and trying to figure out how to move forward after a shooter walked into a Dollar General store on Kings Road and fired several shots, killing three people.

As news broke about what law enforcement called a “racially-driven” attack, city leaders gathered expressing anguish and visible outrage about yet another shooting at the hands of someone who was targeting a Black community, according to police.

Law enforcement said two Black men and a Black woman were murdered when a white man walked into a Dollar General and started shooting.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations said this was a “hate-filled” crime.

Emotions were high as sadness and shock penetrated the Northwest Jacksonville community.
"I feel sad. I feel so bad that this still goes on. Hateful crimes,” Virginia Bradford said.
She said she visits the same Dollar General multiple times a day and has built a relationship with the employees.
Bradford said she was going to stop by that store this morning but changed her mind because she had to attend a program at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
Latasha Hobbs said she came to the scene to offer support and to pour love into a grieving community. Hobbs’ son was lost due to gun violence, so she relates to the pain that the three families are experiencing.
“Jacksonville is bleeding. We’re hurting. Our families are hurting. People are suffering. This has to stop,” Hobbs said.
Hobbs shared the following message to the community:
“As a community, we have to come together. We have to love on each other. If we see something, we need to say something. We need to speak up. We need to push for gun safety legislation. We need to get to know our community members. We need to make sure we’re speaking up and telling what we know.”
Mayor Donna Deegan and State Representative Angie Nixon were some of the first city leaders to gather at the scene. Multiple prayer circles also filled the streets shortly after the deadly shooting.
“I’m heartbroken,” Deegan said at the news conference. “This is a community that has suffered again and again. We must do everything that we can to dissuade this type of hate.”
Other city leaders also expressed their pain after the tragic event.
“I am lost for words. It’s like everything happens in District 10. Our community is sick and tired of being sick and tired,” Councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman said. “I am just tired of seeing all the shooting. We want a solution. Our sheriff is doing the best that he can. We have to keep working together.”
It’s an event that most residents agree is difficult to even think about.
“It’s actually kind of scary. These days you can’t go anywhere,” a resident said. “Just to think that someone is going to the store to pick up a quick item and then they lose their life.”
Gov. Ron DeSantis said he spoke with T.K Waters after he got word about the shooting, calling the shooter a “scumbag.”
“He was targeting people based on their race. That is totally unacceptable He took the coward way out but we condemn what happened,” DeSantis said in response to the shooter taking his own life.
DeSantis also offered support to the sheriff’s office and sent his condolences to the victims’ families.
A Dollar General spokesperson sent the following statement to News4JAX:
“We are heartbroken by the senseless act of violence that occurred at our Kings Road store in Jacksonville, Florida today. At this time, supporting our Jacksonville employees and the DG family impacted by this tragedy is a top priority as we work closely with law enforcement.”

5. New Business
A. New Planned Unit Development for 4 out parcel commercial establishments at the corner of Collins Road and Old Middleburg Road November 2023
This New Planned Unit Development for 4 out parcel commercial establishments at the corner of Collins Road and Old Middleburg Road is poorly planned in my opinion.

1) The developer going to tell the planning commission and the planning department that the widening construction of Old Middleburg Road will beginning January 2024, but will not tell the truth about it because the completion of phase 2 widening of Old Middleburg Road will not happen until 2028. At this point Old Middleburg Road is a failing roadway system and should’ve been widened over 20 years ago.

2) The site plan shows a large amount of retail commercial traffic based on the number of parking places in the site plan.

3) The site plan needs to have one ingress egress right in right out at the east end of the project on Collins Road, and one ingress egress right in right out only at the north end of the project. Otherwise, each one of these out parcels will have their own ingress and egress and cause more accidents. There needs to be cut outs from Old Middleburg Road and Collins Road to avoid rear end accidents. This is standard practice on all new commercial projects and not included in this design.

A. ‘Jacksonville is bleeding’: Grieving community shaken after deadly shooting at Dollar General
Community stunned over senseless murders; FBI calls attack ‘hate-filled’ crime
