This week, we proudly celebrate and thank our incredible school counselors, Ms. Easter, Mr. Franklin, and Mr. Campbell for the heart, dedication, and guidance they pour into our students every single day.

This year’s theme by the American School Counselor Association, “School Counselors Amplify Student Success,” perfectly reflects the work they do—lifting student voices, supporting academic and personal growth, and helping every learner see their full potential.

Thank you for everything you do to support and strengthen our school community!

Schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Monday February 2nd!

Although temperatures warmed over the weekend, ice has not fully melted on many secondary roads and parking lots throughout the area. Travel conditions — particularly on side streets, in neighborhoods, and in driveways — remain unsafe in several locations.

Due to these conditions, all Arkansas Lighthouse schools and offices will remain closed. All events and activities are canceled and will be rescheduled.

We are hopeful that offices and schools will resume normal operations soon; however, the District will continue to monitor weather conditions and roadways. An update regarding the status of schools and offices will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

ARLCS will continue to keep families informed through the district website, email, phone calls, social media, and local media outlets.

Thank you for your continued patience and partnership as we prioritize the safety of our scholars and staff. Please stay safe and warm!

Overnight low temperatures and refreezing continue to delay the clearing of secondary roads and parking lots throughout the area. While the warmer temperatures of the last two days have helped, travel around the area (particularly access to side streets, driveways, and neighborhoods) remains impacted.

Due to these conditions, all Arkansas Lighthouse schools and offices will remain closed on Friday, January 30th. All events and activities are canceled and will be rescheduled.

We are hopeful that offices and schools will resume normal operations by Monday; however, the District will continue to monitor weather conditions and roadways. An update on the status of schools and offices for next week will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

ARLCS will keep families informed through the ARLCS district website, email, phone calls, social media, and local media outlets.

Frigid overnight temperatures have continued to slow the clearing of secondary roads and streets throughout the area. While warming on Tuesday afternoon and today has improved travel in some areas, many neighborhood streets and driveways remain highly impacted.

Due to these conditions, all Arkansas Lighthouse schools and offices will remain closed on Thursday, January 29th. All events and activities are canceled and will be rescheduled.

The District will continue to monitor weather conditions and roadways, and an update on the status of schools and offices for the remainder of the week will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
