I would first like to thank Mayor Ezard for appointing me to this position as it has truly opened my eyes about how important city government is to our local community in many aspects and not limited to property taxes. I have been happy to serve in this capacity the past few months.

Thank you to everyone who voted today and helped in my campaign, including too many close friends to thank individually. I look forward to having a growing relationship with all of my constituents, as well as the new city council and the mayor.

We must all work together to move Jacksonville forward.

Tomorrow, April 2, is the day to elect members to the Jacksonville City Council. I'm not sure how much it will help them but I'm here to give my support to Don Cook, Mike Bartlett, Karen Day-Mudd, and of course Tony Williams. They understand the proper application and the difference between a tax levy and property tax increase. By the way, this is not a declaration against the challengers. This is a positive post and I hope everyone takes it that way. And this post reflects my own views and not my employer's views.

Thank you to everyone who joined in the St. Patrick’s Day fun downtown. I enjoyed seeing green lining the streets and visiting with residents after the parade. ☘️

Mike spent the weekend supporting Jacksonville High School and Routt Catholic High School at athletic booster events. You can find him cooking for players before JHS football games, helping with Routt fundraisers, and supporting both schools throughout the year.
