๐ŸŒŸ Team Duval Shoutout! ๐ŸŒŸ

Weโ€™re celebrating our incredible Dual Language educators for inspiring us during the Dual Language Early Return at Alfred I. DuPont Middle School! ๐Ÿ’™

Over the two-day event, educators strengthened their knowledge and instructional practices through WIDA ELD Standards sessions in both English and Spanish, along with ESOL Essentials, BE GLAD Strategies, and Imagine Math. Their enthusiasm, collaboration, and commitment to providing high-quality bilingual education continue to make a meaningful difference for our multilingual learners.

Embracing this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œOne Team. World Class.,โ€ these educators are helping strengthen our dual language programs and empower students to thrive. Thank you for your dedication to another year of learning, growth, and celebrating bilingualism! ๐Ÿ‘

Progress is happening throughout Duval County Public Schools, and the 1 mill funding has played an important role in that progress.

Since it was approved in 2022, the funding has helped support teacher compensation, athletics and the arts while contributing to stronger teacher retention and a lower teacher vacancy rate.
Today, Team Duval is an A-rated district for the second consecutive year, and our students and educators continue to build on that momentum.

For teachers. For students. For Duval. Our progress continues.

๐Ÿ’ก An idea becomes a plan. A plan becomes confidence. And in Janika Briceโ€™s classroom at Jean Ribault High School, that confidence begins to look like possibility.

A Jacksonville native and Wolfson High School graduate, Brice returned home to help the next generation dream bigger. Through business, entrepreneurship and computer science, she gives students hands-on opportunities to create business models, earn industry certifications and develop skills that can shape their futures. ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ’ป

After eight years at Ribault, her reason for staying is powerful: โ€œMy impact isn't over. It's so much more than me. It's what my purpose is.โ€

That is what joining Team Duval County Public Schools l can meanโ€”a chance to bring personal passion into the classroom and turn it into possibility for students.
