Has your child seen a close-up of a dinosaur's eye? Here’s a chance for them to make their own! This program uses air-dry modeling clay, marbles, and markers to create a dinosaur eye. This will be a unique keepsake for your child to add to their collection!

Happy Week Three of our Dinosaur of the Week!

Dinosaur of the Week
~ Giganotosaurus (gee-ga-note-oh-saw-rus) ~

Fun Facts:
-Also known as the “giant southern lizard.”
-They lived in the area of modern-day Argentina in South America during the Late Cretaceous period, which was between 99.6 to 95 million years ago.
-Giganotosaurus could reach speeds of up to 20mph.
-The Giganotosaurus looks similar to the T-Rex, but is not a Tyrannosaurus.
-The Giganotosaurus is larger than a T-Rex, but has a smaller brain than a T-Rex. The Giganotosaurus brain would have been about the size of a banana.

Join us in recognizing Juneteenth. This day recalls June 19, 1865, when Union general Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, TX, to notify still enslaved African-Americans that the Civil War ended and they were freed under the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.
