Monadnock at Home members had a lesson in “Digital Scam Prevention” today at the Peterborough Town Library. Students participating in ConVal’s Day of Service put together an informative presentation on the many types of scams that occur, what to watch out for and what to do if you are a victim of a scam. After the presentation they also shared their knowledge and helped MaH members with other tech questions that came up. Thank you to all who participated today! If you are interested in more information on upcoming Monadnock at Home programs, please call 603-371-0809 or email [email protected].

We had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating at our Monadnock at Home Holiday Party! The festivities were made even brighter by the presence of our longtime member, Eleanor McQueen, who is 99 years young and joined us in the fun. From all of us at Monadnock at Home, we wish you a very Merry Christmas filled with joy, warmth, and togetherness!

Thank you to Sean and all of our soup volunteers who deliver delicious soup generously donated by our friends at Mayfair Farm. Today, as a special surprise for our soup recipients, our volunteers also delivered these beautiful holiday bouquets! Monadnock at Home volunteer Kathy Birkebak recently had a workshop at the Peterborough Town Library for the purpose of making these lovely evergreen bouquets to share around the community! Thank you to everyone involved in brightening the day for so many Monadnock at Home members!

Yesterday, the Monadnock at Home Coffee Group got fancy with an English tea! MaH member Rod had the idea to have a tea party and recruited fellow member - and our own English rose - Linda to help him host. They put on a fabulous spread with finger sandwiches, scones - some made by Rod’s daughter! - jams and clotted cream. Tuesday’s storm caused us to move from our usual Coffee Group day to yesterday, and some members were still waiting to be plowed out and missed the festivities. But not to worry - everyone had such a great time that Rod wants to do it again in the Spring! Thank you to our wonderful hosts and to our friends at the Jaffrey Civic Center for being so accommodating! If you would like more information on MaH’s Coffee Group, our next tea party or any of our other programs please call (603) 371-0809 or email [email protected].
