Jal Fire and EMS has been hard at work preparing our brand-new station for service. Over the past several weeks, our personnel have spent countless hours moving equipment, setting up operations, and ensuring the station is ready to serve our community.

We invite everyone to join us for the Grand Opening Ceremony on Wednesday at 5:30 PM. Come tour the new station, meet your local Fire and EMS personnel, and help us celebrate this exciting milestone for our department and community.

As you gather with family and friends to celebrate our nation’s independence, we wish everyone a fun, safe, and memorable holiday.

While everyone enjoys tonight’s fireworks, we wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make this show possible. Countless hours of planning, preparation, and hard work go into putting on a safe and spectacular fireworks display. From setting up the show to following strict safety procedures and coordinating every detail, our firefighters dedicate their time to ensuring our community can celebrate with confidence.

Today, we proudly celebrate 250 years of American independence, freedom, and the communities that make our nation strong. Be sure to come out and join us for the fireworks show beginning at 9:00 PM! We look forward to celebrating with our community and hope you’ll enjoy an unforgettable display.

🌞Temperatures are expected to reach triple digits, with a major heat risk this week and most of next week.
Our community is at risk of heat‑related illness if outdoors for long periods without proper cooling or hydration.
▪️Drink water often — don’t wait until you’re thirsty. Take breaks as needed.
▪️Stay in air‑conditioned spaces whenever possible.
▪️Wear lightweight, light‑colored clothing to help your body stay cool.
▪️Avoid strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest hours.
▪️Check on elderly neighbors, outdoor workers, and pets — they’re especially vulnerable.
If you notice signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke — such as dizziness, nausea, confusion, or hot, dry skin — call 911 immediately.
Stay safe, stay prepared, and help us look out for our community.
