Boston Firefighters IAFF Local 718 deeply regrets the passing of Brother Firefighter Robert Franklin, Active Member.

A long-serving member of Tower Ladder 10 in Jamaica Plain, Firefighter Franklin was well-liked and regarded by his fellow Firefighters and the community he served.

Rob will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF members from Death & Welfare, the Boston Fire Honor Guard, and the Executive Board, including VP Heyward and President Dillon, are in Newark, NJ on behalf of all our members to pay respects to the two fallen Brothers who were killed in the line of duty last week. Firefighters Acabou and Brooks Jr. made the ultimate sacrifice and will forever be remembered for their service to the people of Newark. May their memories, and legacies never be forgotten.

Another strong showing by the members of Boston Engine 28 Tower Ladder10 for firefighters memorial Sunday! Always a moving ceremony remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the citizens and visitors of the City of Boston. We would be remiss if we did thank the charitable association for their hard work putting this on every year.
