Since 1940, The Greater Allen Development Corporation has fostered community transformation through education, economic development, and housing. The Allen Community Non-Profit Programs protects, educates, and helps victims of domestic violence; provides a space for senior citizens to thrive; and preserves and revitalizes underserved and underutilized communities in Southeast Queens.

On 3/20/2022 at 2:30pm The Queens Historical Society will be hosting an event "Historic Black Brooklyn", a detailed photobook covering the accomplishments of Black Americans in Brooklyn and Queens during the last 400 years. Author Brian Merlis will give a presentation followed by Q&A.
