Keep an eye on the weather forecasts for the next few days and prepare for potentially heavy rain Friday and Saturday.

This is Hurricane Debby's current track - which will change several times in the coming days. However, in a worst-case scenario, the remnants could bring significant rain to Vermont on Friday into Saturday. Now is the time to prepare for any future flooding; remove debris from culverts and drainage areas, sign up for Vermont Alert (www.vtalert.gov), and follow other advice at https://vem.vermont.gov/preparedness/floods

Please be aware our waterways are on the rise. With the saturated ground the rain and snowmelt is headed to the reservoirs.

Our local Ball Mountain and Townshend Rangers are working with the Reservoir Control Center who is working with dams all over the Connecticut River watershed to collaborate on safely releasing the water built up behind the dams.

Please be aware water levels rise unexpectedly and quickly.

Pikes Falls, Dalewood, West Jamaica, Trager and Goodaleville Roads are all open. Please continue to use caution on these roads.
