Today, Ptl. Paulikas and Ptl. Lazerson proudly participated in the New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey, joining thousands of law enforcement officers across the state in carrying the “Flame of Hope” and raising awareness for Special Olympics athletes. The annual Torch Run is one of the largest grassroots fundraising efforts supporting Special Olympics New Jersey and its mission of inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service – Philadelphia Division for running alongside our officers and supporting this outstanding cause. Partnerships like these demonstrate the strength of the law enforcement community and our shared commitment to serving others.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and cheered on the runners. Together, we continue to support the incredible athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey and help carry the message of inclusion throughout our communities.

Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer.

It is a day of remembrance for the heroes who gave their lives in defense of our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Today, as our officers remain on duty serving the community, we do so mindful of those who paid the ultimate price for our nation.

Please join us in honoring and remembering America’s fallen service members.

Their sacrifice lives on in our gratitude and remembrance.
