Fentress County Clerk Amanda Hicks is the current Fentress County Clerk she was elected to a four-year term in 2022. The specific work of the office is prescribed by the Legislature.

The County Clerk serves as Clerk to the Commission and issues various licenses such as vehicle registrations, notaries, marriage, business, and beer permits. The County Clerk is a constitutional officer and is elected by the people for a term of four years. Duties range from secretary to the County Commission to issuing various licenses such as vehicle registrations, marriage, business, and beer permits. The regular monthly meeting for the County Commission will begin at 6 PM. All meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Internet outage. ⚠️The office will be closed for the remainder of today 10/7/2026. I will update on reopening once the technician can resolve the issues with our internet outage at the office. I apologize for this inconvenience. I hope to have this resolved by the start of business tomorrow at 8am.

A copy of the Fentress County Commission Agenda will be available on the Friday before the Monday Meeting in the County Executive’s Office.
