Recycling for the week of Sept.7-12 is metal. Due to Labor Day on Mon., garbage/recycling collection for Mon. takes place Tues., Tues. is delayed until Wed., Wed. to Thurs., Thurs. to Fri. & Fri. to Saturday.

It's Labor Day weekend, but our yard waste site is open regular hours from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sat. Sat., 9/12, however, it will be closed so workers can collect garbage/recycling. There is no collection on Labor Day & collection is delayed by one day all week.

Labor Day is Mon. Offices will be closed. Garbage/recycling will be delayed by 1 day all week. Monday's collection will be on Tues., Tues. moves to Wed. & so forth. The Yard Waste Site is open 9/5th, but not on 9/12, so workers can collect garbage/recycling on Saturday.

The temperature on the inside refrigerator door changes frequently. Avoid storing perishables there. It's a great place for condiments, juices & other less perishable items. The top shelf is slightly warmer typically - store your cooked leftovers & soda there.

As fall is coming, insulation is important to your water heater's efficiency. If you water heater has a tank, it will be rated with an R-value. The R-value should be at least R-10. If it isn't, your tank can benefit from added insulation.

Residents of Summit Ave., Jamestown, may see discolored water and low water pressure today. We have a water main break where crews are working. After repairs are made, you could see discolored water for 12-24 hrs.
