North Maple Street Water Main Break:

Crews are currently working to repair a water main break on North Maple Street. As a result, North Maple Street is temporarily closed between West Washington Street and West Xenia Street.

Crews are working to complete the repairs as quickly as possible and will reopen the roadway as soon as the work is finished.

Please use an alternate route and avoid the area while repairs are underway. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Water Meter Replacement Project – Important Information for Village Residents with inside meters:

HydroCorp technicians are in the community installing new water meters. The installation process should take approximately 30 minutes. All HydroCorp technicians will be identifiable by a company shirt and identification badge.

For inside meters:
Please call to schedule your appointment by calling HydroCorp at 800-315-4305 (Option 1), Monday through Friday. Appointments will be scheduled in four-hour windows. Please do not contact the Village of Jamestown to schedule your meter installation, as all scheduling is being handled directly by HydroCorp.

Water Meter Replacement Project – Important Information for Village Residents

The Village of Jamestown has partnered with HydroCorp to replace all water meters throughout the Village. Beginning today, HydroCorp technicians will be in the community installing new water meters at properties over the next several weeks. The installation process should take approximately 30 minutes. All HydroCorp technicians will be identifiable by a company shirt and identification badge.

For outside meters:
Residents do not need to be home, and no appointment is required.

For inside meters:
Residents will receive instructions by mail from HydroCorp with information on how to schedule an appointment online or by calling HydroCorp at 800-315-4305 (Option 1), Monday through Friday. Appointments will be scheduled in four-hour windows.
Please do not contact the Village of Jamestown to schedule your meter installation, as all scheduling is being handled directly by HydroCorp.

This is to inform all residents of The Village of Jamestown of a scheduled road closure on Saturday, August 8th, from 9am to 12pm. This will effect the following roads, West Washington Street from downtown to the light at Maple Street, South Maple Street and Waynesville Jamestown Road to Cottonville Road, and all of Cottonville Road. Again the closure is scheduled from 9am to 12pm on Saturday, August 8th. Please seek alternative routes during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a smooth closure process.

The Village of Jamestown is accepting letters of interest to fill a vacancy on the Zoning Commission Board. The Zoning Commission shall be composed of five members appointed by the Village Council who reside in the incorporated area of the Village of Jamestown. The Zoning Commission makes recommendations to the Village Council concerning the Planning, Zoning, and Platting requirements for all lands within the corporate limits or under the jurisdiction of the Village of Jamestown. The deadline to submit letters of interest is 4:00 PM on September 4, 2026. Mail letters of interest to: Village of Jamestown, 84 Seaman Dr. Jamestown, OH 45335 or email [email protected].

The Village of Jamestown Council will hold a work session, open to the public, on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 84 Seaman Drive to discuss the parking on S. Church Street.

Grass Mowing Notice:
This is just a friendly reminder that with Spring and Summer comes growing grass and the need for it to be maintained. You can find all the information about our zoning ordinances at https://jamestownohio.us/zoning-information/, as well as, the notice to maintain your grass height. Also, please refrain from blowing grass clippings into the street and down the storm drains. Clippings into the street can be dangerous for those on motorcycles, and blowing them down the storm drains can create blockages in storm drains and can cause harm to the environment should there be any chemicals or added trash mixed in.
