Chautauqua Community Music Project is a non-profit arts organization that focuses on music education and performance for adults and children throughout the Western New York Area. Our mission is “To build community by providing educational opportunities and encouraging participation in musical expression through programs for composers, performers, and listeners of all ages and skill levels in a var

iety of musical styles.” In keeping with our mission, the Community Music Project is comprised of the Children’s Music Studio, Jamestown Choral Society, and the Chautauqua Chamber Singers. With over 1,100 participants annually, the Children’s Music Studio teaches the fundamentals of music and musical literacy to infants, toddlers, and children up to the age of nine. With year-round programing, classes are based on the internationally acclaimed Musikgarten curriculum. Founded in 1910 the Jamestown Choral Society welcomes members of all ages who are looking to express themselves through the art of music without audition. Currently performing two concerts a year, repertoires include many choral masterworks, sacred anthems and secular/pops compositions. For over 35 years, county residents have enjoyed the angelic voices of the Chautauqua Chamber Singers. Featuring members with diverse musical backgrounds, talents and training from across the area, the Chamber Singers perform numerous times a year and are available for special events including weddings, festivals, and much more.
