Jamestown Parks & Recreation Parks & Recreation Department maintains athletic fields, picnic shelters, amphitheater, and playground equipment for Jamestown parks.

Recreation in Jamestown meets the needs of those that enjoy a gentle stroll to those that strive for a high level of sporting activities. Those interested may participate in flag football, baseball, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, horseshoes, and even co****le boards. Walking and biking trails weave their way in and around Jamestown. Jamestown Park is a popular location to park to gain a

ccess to the Bicentennial Greenway trail. Wrenn Miller Park, Jamestown’s newest park, affords a serene setting for sitting on a park bench and a fifth of a mile sidewalk loop. Wrenn Miller Park has a four picnic table shelter and an amphitheater complete with a grass seating slope. A Veterans Memorial is located at the northern end of the park with an honorary wall of Jamestown residents that served in World War II. Notice the attention to detail at every turn with dedicated bricks, benches, trees and a growing maze garden. For golf enthusiasts, there is an 18-hole Championship golf course open year-round at Jamestown Park. Jamestown is one of the smallest municipalities in the United States to operate its own public golf course. Jamestown Park offers four soccer fields, two baseball fields, shelters, co****le boards, a sand volleyball court, and plenty of open green space. Also, there are tennis courts, swimming, picnic areas, and boating facilities within corporate city limits or walking distance from Jamestown. Jamestown furnishes its citizens and visitors with ample recreational facilities.

You are always welcome to stop by and see us in person!

The third hole is a long challenging straight away par four with a generous fairway. Finding the fairway is critical as the approach shot will play uphill to an elevated green that narrows towards the back half. An approach shot wide right could lead to a difficult up and down for par.

⚠️Jamestown Park Update ⚠️

Jamestown Park is now open. We are delighted to announce that Jamestown Park reopened at 3:30pm today. Your patience is appreciated as we worked to clean up after Tuesday's fire. The necessary repairs and cleaning were completed to ensure the park's safety. Our Recreation staff worked tirelessly to restore the shelter and playground. Although some tasks, including painting, minor shingle repairs, and replacing the large sun shade, are still pending, we will continue to make these improvements with minimal disturbance. Thank you for your patience, and we are eager to see you back in the park.

⚠️Jamestown Park Playground Closing Notice

Yesterday afternoon a fire occurred at Shelter 1 and the new playground, resulting in damage to the shelter and one of the shades in the new play area, but luckily there were no injuries. Consequently, Shelter 1 and the playground will be closed today for damage assessment. We will make every effort to reopen the park as quickly as possible, while prioritizing safety above all else. We extend our gratitude to the Pinecroft-Sedgefield Fire Department for their prompt response, which significantly mitigated the damage. We also appreciate the swift actions of the individual who called 911 and attempted to extinguish the fire, thereby protecting our structures.

We will keep you updated on the progress and reopening as soon as we learn more. Thank you for your patience as we move forward!
