This past year has been an exciting, stressful, and at times confusing one for all of us in Fentress County. For the first time in many years, we experienced a local primary election, bringing new energy and new challenges to our community.
During this transitional year, emotions have understandably run high. We all have strong opinions about the direction of our county—and that is because we care deeply about Fentress County and the people who call it home.
But now is the time to come together.
Our community has a rich history built on hard work, faith, family, personal responsibility, and small-town conservative values. Those principles have helped make Fentress County the special place it is today, and they are worth preserving.
At the same time, our county continues to welcome new residents and families. Many of these newcomers have chosen Fentress County because they, too, value the things that make a small community special: friendly neighbors, strong families, freedom, faith, community involvement, and a place where people still look out for one another.
Moving forward does not mean forgetting the past. It means respecting those who have been here for generations while welcoming those who are now making Fentress County their home. It means finding common ground, working together, and focusing on what unites us rather than what divides us.
The election may be over, but our responsibility to our community continues.
Let's move forward together—preserving the values that make Fentress County great while embracing the people and opportunities that will help make its future even stronger.
