JRMC received a report that a scammer is calling Jamestown area phone numbers and “JMTN HOSP” is appearing on the caller ID. Once answered, the call plays a recorded message promoting an Orlando vacation.

As a trusted healthcare provider, we worry that people will accept these calls and fall victim to this scam.

More bad news: these calls are considered “spoofs” meaning that despite their best efforts, it’s unlikely that authorities from Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County can trace them.
