For most kids, summer means freedom, camp, and pool days. But for a child in the child welfare system, summer can bring a lot of unexpected noise.

When school lets out, routines disappear. School support systems pause, and sometimes, a shift in placements can be a chaotic time to navigate.

That’s where a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) comes in ☀️

While the world around them changes, a CASA remains a steady, consistent presence. This summer, our advocates are on the ground making sure the kids they serve don’t get lost in the cracks.

The Janesville Morning Rotary Club is helping us grow! We are honored to be one of the programs to receive their 2026 Community Grant.

Their generous grant supports our mission to recruit more advocates for local children. We had a wonderful time celebrating at Rotary Gardens 💙 Thank you Janesville Morning Rotary!

Congratulations to the 23 Janesville-area programs and organizations awarded 2026 community grants from the Janesville Morning Rotary Club! This year we gave out nearly $40,000 in grants, directly funded by our annual Pie Ride and holiday fruit basket sale. Most of the recipients joined us today at an annual awards event at Rotary Gardens. The Pie Ride and fruit basket sale also support annual scholarships for Janesville Craig, Janesville Parker and Milton High School students.
