HPL's 5th Annual Book Fest wrapped up Day Two with more free writing workshops, visits with local publishers, and two amazing featured authors: Ann Garvin and Pao Lor.

It's been quite a weeked - but Book Fest has just begun! Visit our website for a list of upcoming community events hosted all week at downtown businesses. Then head to the Farmer's Market on Saturday for our Local Author Book Fair.

Ann Garvin is not only funny and relatable, but an absolute wealth of knowledge and I feel so much more confidence in my pitch for my novel after listening to her talk.

HPL Book Fest 2026 celebrates book, authors, and connection! Now offered in partnership with Downtown Janesville, Inc. and Janesville Farmers Market, Inc, the event kicks off with a weekend of free writing workshops and author visits, then continues through the week with community events hosted by downtown businesses. We cap off the celebration with our HPL Book Fest 2026 Local Author Book Fair at the Janesville Farmers Market!

Book Fest 2026 kicked off with a full day of free writing workshops, a publishing panel, and a special visit from author Maggie Ginsberg. We ended the evening with our Book Fest Reception, featuring Lesley Kagen discussing her book Whistling in the Dark. AND THAT WAS JUST DAY ONE!

Join us for a full Saturday schedule, a week of downtown community events, and our Local Author Book Fair at the Farmer's Market.
