Parents! We NEED YOU! Parent turnout in bond elections is traditionally low. If you aren't making these decisions for your kids, then who is?? Show up THIS SATURDAY and make your voice heard on behalf of your own kids and the rest of the kids that are moving to JISD! ***This isn't a city of Jarrell election, this is a school district election, so if you live in the district, you can and SHOULD vote Saturday***

As you gear up for the weekend, make sure to work voting into your plans! Here's what you need to know:
1. If you are zoned to Jarrell ISD, you can vote in this bond election, even if you don't live in the City of Jarrell.
2. Polls are open from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm today through Saturday, April 29. Polls are CLOSED Sunday, then reopen from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Monday and Tuesday, May 1 and 2.

🛑2023 BOND INFORMATION🛑
In 2019, the State passed a law requiring all school bond ballots to include this property tax language even if the bond wouldn't require a tax rate increase. Bond debt is paid off with property taxes, and the required language's intent is to inform voters of that, but JISD will not increase the tax rate due to this bond. JISD's I&S tax rate is currently $0.50 and, BY LAW, cannot be increased.

Jarrell ISD can only set the tax rate. It does not determine your property value. The Williamson County Appraisal District sets your property value. So while your property value may increase, your tax rate will not. Head over to https://jarrellisdbond.com/tax-info to learn more!
