🏈 The final whistle doesn’t have to end the fun!

For the past several years, Pastor Kevin Ross and New Hope Baptist Church have hosted 5th Quarter after Jarrell High School home football games, providing a safe and welcoming place for high school students to spend time together.

Students are invited to enjoy music, snacks, games and fellowship from 10 p.m. to midnight at New Hope Baptist Church, located at 1700 CR 305 in Jarrell.

Thank you to Pastor Ross and New Hope Baptist Church for continuing to support and invest in the young people of our community! 💙🐾

🏛️💙 A Historic Honor for Jarrell ISD

On September 1, the City of Jarrell officially recognized the Jarrell ISD 1916 Building as an Important Historic and Cultural Landmark of the Jarrell Community.

Mayor Patrick Sherek’s proclamation honors a site that has stood at the heart of Jarrell for more than a century. Built in 1916, the original two-story brick school served students from kindergarten through 12th grade and became a gathering place for school programs, graduations, athletic events and community celebrations.

The site also holds a powerful place in Jarrell’s story of resilience. Following the devastating F5 tornado, it served as a gathering place where families and neighbors came together to support one another and begin the work of recovery.

Today, the renewed 1916 Building continues to serve Jarrell ISD and the community while preserving the stories of the students, educators, families and citizens who helped shape its history.

As Jarrell ISD celebrates 110 years of educational service, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mayor Sherek, the Jarrell City Council and our community for honoring this treasured landmark and the generations connected to it.

The 1916 Building is more than a place—it is a lasting symbol of education, service, strength and community. 🐾
