🚧 Traffic Change: Temporary changes to drop-off and dismissal procedures begin Thursday, August 27, due to stormwater drainage repair work.

Please review the attached map for updated bus and parent vehicle routes. Portions of Shakamak School Road will be closed while work is underway.

Also, Friday, August 28, is an early-release day for staff professional growth. Student dismissal begins at 1:20 p.m.

JPD is asking for help locating 14 yr old Amelia Powell. Amelia is 5'06", 130 lbs, brown eyes, blonde hair with brown roots. Last seen area of North Virgil/Ingle Streets in Jasonville around 7:15 am today wearing inside out black t-shirt, red plaid pajama pants with gold accents. Amelia is possibly with two other runaways from Sullivan County Zachariah Cliff and Savannah Cliff.
Amelia is considered a runaway and not believed to be in danger.
Amelia is believed to be in the Jasonville area.

The Jasonville Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.
All applicants must meet all pre-employment minimum requirements and complete all testing and screening components of the hiring process. The testing and screening process may include all or some of the following: Physical Agility Test, Written Examination, Department Panel Interview, Background Investigation, and interviews with Administration and Board of Public Safety. The results of this process will be used to compile a list of candidates for future Full-Time Police Officer vacancies.
Pre-employment Minimum Requirements:
ï‚§ Must be a United States Citizen.
ï‚§ Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; education beyond high school is preferred.
 Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license or be a non-resident with a valid driver’s license in your state and be willing/able to obtain an Indiana driver’s license.
ï‚§ Must be at least 21 years of age but less than 40 years of age; or be a Veteran with 20 years of armed forces service with a maximum age of 40 years and 6 months.
ï‚§ Must be able to pass thorough background investigation.
ï‚§ Must or will meet all residency requirements required by Indiana statute as defined in I.C. 36-8-4-2.
