Be safe this Memorial Day weekend, drink water and do not BBQ under your porch awning.

Thank you to all of those who sacrificed everything for us. You are not forgotten.

There aren't many of us, but we CARE. We dread tones dropping at the station and on our radios when someone in our community has a house on fire.
We WILL show up. We will do everything in our power to save life, human or of the furry sort. We WILL come in after you, try to save property.
You are our neighbors. Family. Friends.

We get asked how YOU can help. It doesn't require you putting on gear and putting the fire out (though we are always looking for new volunteers) but, there are things you can do to help. We will start with probably two of the most important:

1. Have working smoke detectors. Easy practical. The faster you know something is wrong, the faster we know.

2. This is one people dont generally think about. Close your doors at night. Your inside doors. Fire loves to travel. It will follow airflow. Just by closing your doors at night, you add valuable minutes. You increase survivability. You add pockets of rooms with less smoke, less fire, and egress paths we can use if the unfortunate happens.

We will come. We are dedicated to you and our community. Enjoy these rain free days and know our doors are open if you want to stop by and say hello.

Are you trying to find a place that provides accurate weather updates? If you have YouTube, we recommend Ryan Hall Y'all
Thats the name of the channel. He works closely with storm chasers, very knowledgeable and easy to listen to. Highly recommend as he is "Live" when weather is active.

Let me tell you folks about an amazing community! Our little towns really showed up for the children this year! I’m so proud of everyone who donated and helped in any way! Thank you all! There are too many to thank in just one post but you all know who you are! I try not to post any pictures of families for the sake of keeping things discrete but the smiles were amazing to see and the energy in our fire station was incredible! I cannot say enough that we at the Tri- Cities Fire District are proud to serve such an amazing community! Alba, Neck City, and Percell. Small towns, big hearts, rich history. Standing strong together. Merry Christmas.
