Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures in our community.

Today, we recognize the men who lead by example, provide guidance, and make sacrifices for their families every day. We also want to give a special thank you to the fathers serving in law enforcement, first responders, military service, and all professions that require time away from loved ones in order to serve others.

Your dedication to both your families and your community does not go unnoticed.

Congratulations to Officer J. Ortiz and Officer J. Gordie on being sworn in with the Jasper Police Department.

Officer Gordie is no stranger to Jasper PD, and we are excited to welcome him back to the department. We are proud to have both officers as part of our team and look forward to the dedication, professionalism, and service they will bring to our community.

Today, we remember Chief Anthony “Tony” Rickerson on the third anniversary of his End of Watch, June 11, 2023.

Chief Rickerson dedicated his life to serving and protecting the citizens of our community with honor, courage, and unwavering commitment. His legacy continues to inspire those who wear the badge and those who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we reflect on his sacrifice, we also honor all law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their service and dedication will never be forgotten.

The Jasper Police Department would like to thank the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Agriculture Law Enforcement for their combined efforts during last week’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign within the City of Jasper.

This joint operation resulted in numerous warnings, citations, and arrests related to various traffic offenses and outstanding warrants.

We appreciate the continued partnership and commitment to keeping our community safe through proactive traffic enforcement and public safety initiatives.
