Today is Dennis’s first day of retirement!

We wish to thank Dennis Lueken for being our route driver for the past five years! Last week we celebrated his service and his retirement with a staff lunch together, including fried chicken and Danielle made two homemade cakes. And we invited a couple of special guests.

Friday Human Resources Director Markie Rhodes came out to present him with a service award and wish him a happy retirement.

Dennis is looking forward to spending time with family, especially his grandkids, getting his garden looking good and has a cruise planned for later this summer with his wife Jackie as well. Enjoy, Dennis!!

Hey save the date to come Hike and Learn on June 6! We will have info and activity booths at the Jasper Indiana Farmers' Market from 8-12 noon and nature hikes will start there! Come celebrate National Trails Day with us!!

Riverwalk Ramble 8:30 AM
Join Carla with the SWMD for a guided Riverwalk Ramble to
discover the Patoka watershed, local conservation efforts, and
the hidden stories flowing through Jasper’s Riverwalk.

Plant Identification Walk 9:30 AM
With Marion Mason, Hoosier National Forest. Learn to ID native
and invasive plants along the trail.

All nature hike participants receive a free prize and get their names put in a drawing for a $50 State Park gift card!! See you there!

Another successful Medication Collection in the books! 🙌

Thanks to the great folks of Dubois County for getting rid of your old medications the right way!

Saturday we collected 341 pounds of old medications for proper disposal from 283 residents!

7 volunteers, 3 law enforcement officers, and 3 agency staff made up the three collection locations.

Thanks to all partners that make this event possible!
