Another Ag Recycling Day Success!

Thank you to all the farmers and land managers who take time to recycle their pesticide jugs each year! This year we had 3422 jugs … which is about 2.5 TONS of plastic in one morning from 28 participants! 🙌

A huge thank you to Jasper Salvage Inc for providing a dumpster and to the Dubois County Highway Department for providing a dump truck for the day!

If you need to get out today be careful, High water throughout the county.

The Ireland Trash and Recycling site will be closed until at least noon today. Heavy rains have made the site unusable.

Today is Dennis’s first day of retirement!

We wish to thank Dennis Lueken for being our route driver for the past five years! Last week we celebrated his service and his retirement with a staff lunch together, including fried chicken and Danielle made two homemade cakes. And we invited a couple of special guests.

Friday Human Resources Director Markie Rhodes came out to present him with a service award and wish him a happy retirement.

Dennis is looking forward to spending time with family, especially his grandkids, getting his garden looking good and has a cruise planned for later this summer with his wife Jackie as well. Enjoy, Dennis!!

Enjoyed being at the Hike and Learn event as part of the Patoka Lake Watershed Steering Committee. We led two nature walks on the Riverwalk and enjoyed chatting w folks at the Jasper Farmers Market. See photos for captions!😊
