๐Ÿš” CONGRATULATIONS, SGT. OXENER! ๐Ÿš”

The Jasper Police Department is proud to congratulate Zack Oxener on his promotion to Patrol Sergeant!

Sgt. Oxener currently serves in our Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and will begin his new responsibilities in the Patrol Division this weekend.

Zack is a dedicated member of the Jasper Police Department who continues to grow professionally and demonstrate his commitment to our department and the citizens we serve. We are excited to see him take this next step in his career with JPD.

The selection process was thorough and competitive. All four applicants completed a written examination followed by an oral board interview conducted by four high-ranking law enforcement officers from agencies throughout the area.

We appreciate everyone who participated in the process and congratulate Sgt. Oxener on earning this opportunity.

If you see Sgt. Oxener, be sure to congratulate him on his promotion!

Congratulations, Sgt. Oxener! Weโ€™re proud to have you on the JPD team!

๐Ÿ’™ A BIG THANK YOU TO BROOKSHIRE BROTHERS! ๐Ÿ’™

The Jasper Police Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Brookshire Brothers for their generous donation in support of this yearโ€™s National Night Out!

Brookshire Brothers Representative Hillary Parker recently presented the donation to Chief Garrett Foster and Patrol Officer Kenneth Henson. Their generosity will help provide supplies and support for this special community event.

National Night Out is all about bringing our community together, and support from local businesses like Brookshire Brothers helps make events like this possible. Partnerships between our community, local businesses, and public safety agencies are what make Jasper such a great place to call home.

Thank you, Brookshire Brothers, for investing in our community and helping us make this yearโ€™s National Night Out a great event! We truly appreciate your continued support! โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿš” JASPER POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST

Today, officers with the Jasper Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Suncrest Circle after a victim of an active protective order contacted dispatch and reported that the prohibited individual was at her residence.

Officers confirmed the protective order was active and that the individual was prohibited from being at the residence. Officers also confirmed an outstanding felony warrant for Theft of a Firearm issued through the Jasper County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

When officers made entry into the residence, the suspect attempted to flee by jumping through a side window of the mobile home and running from officers on foot. Chief Garrett Foster pursued the suspect and caught up with him a short distance away.

Despite repeated commands to get on the ground, the suspect refused to comply. Chief Foster took hold of the suspect and physically restrained him until the assisting officer arrived. The suspect continued to disregard officersโ€™ commands during the encounter.

Ethan Hebert (01/25/2006) was taken into custody on the outstanding felony warrant and in connection with the protective order violation.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

All persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
