During National Correctional Officers Week, we proudly recognize and thank the dedicated Corrections Officers and Field Officers of Dubois County Community Corrections.

These professionals are an essential part of our team, working each day to ensure the safety and security of our work release facility, our staff, our participants, and the community we serve. Their commitment, professionalism, and steady presence help keep our operations running safely and effectively.

Correctional work often goes unnoticed, but this week we take time to recognize the service, sacrifice, and dedication these officers demonstrate every day. Community supervision is about far more than locks and keys โ€” our Corrections Officers and Field Officers play a vital role in accountability, structure, support, and public safety through every aspect of our daily operations.

FREE transportation is available in Orange, Crawford, and Dubois counties!!
We are working to expand our transport to Lawrence county as well, hopefully as soon as this month!

Transportation remains a significant barrier to people trying to get back on their feet, especially in rural areas with limited public transit options.

23.1% of all adults will experience a mental health disorder.
19.1% will experience an anxiety disorder
8.3% will experience a major depressive disorder
2.8% will experience bipolar disorder.

16.5% of youth will experience a mental health disorder.
36.2% of young adults will experience a mental health disorder.
13.9% of older adults will expeirence a mental health disorder.

And still 55% of those people will not receive treatment. We have continued work to do in the mental health space to not only ensure access to treatment, but reduce the stigma around mental illness. That's why we have World Mental Health Day. We spread awareness:
* Mental illness is just like a physical illness: it impacts the brain and it's function.
* Mental illness is treatable and managable
* There is hope and help available!
