We had a lot of fun talking, enjoying the company of our fellow Hoosiers, sharing our hopes for Indiana's bright future, and our plans to achieve them.

The Indiana Democratic Party is excited to announce Porter County Clerk Jessica Bailey and public health professional Coumba Kebe as candidates for State Comptroller and State Treasurer for the 2026 General Election.

Jessica is the current Porter County Clerk, and has spent her two terms making the office more efficient for taxpayers, voters, and businesses. Coumba is a health professional from Hamilton County who has overseen multi-million dollar budgets and wants to make our state government accountable to Hoosiers.

Behind every name etched on a memorial is a family, a story, and a sacrifice that can never truly be repaid. Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom is not free, and that generations of Americans have paid the ultimate price to protect it.

As we gather with friends and family this weekend, let’s take a moment to honor those who never made it home.

Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Today, as you spend time with family and enjoy your day off, take a moment — whether in silence, prayer, or simple conversation — to remember and give thanks to those who gave everything so we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.
We stand on the shoulders of giants who sacrificed their lives so we could enjoy holidays, vacations, and weekends with the people we love. Today is not only a day to celebrate, but also a day to honor those who are no longer here to celebrate beside us.
Joshua 1:9 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Many of our brothers and sisters lived those words through their courage and sacrifice for this nation and for all of us.
Never forget the cost of freedom. 🇺🇸
