Finding your sound at Chatt State Kimball! 🎺✨

Check out this wonderful moment from Ms. Elliott’s music class featuring one of her students, Elijah:

"I was demonstrating the instruments last week and he stayed after class and asked if he could try the trumpet. At first, he couldn’t even make a sound. After about 20 minutes, he sounded pretty good and looked like this! He looks like a pro!"

Moments like this are what hands-on learning is all about. Whether you are an experienced player or picking up an instrument for the very first time, you don't need a music background to get inspired!

It is our privilege to announce our Student of the Month for September: Catherine 'Sophie' Walker.
When you look at what makes an outstanding student, it isn’t just talent, its dedication, character, and community spirit. Sophie brings all three to our campus every single day. She is exceptionally hardworking and committed to excellence, often staying late to master her coursework and engaging her instructors with insightful questions that challenge everyone in the room to think deeper.
Beyond her academic grit, Sophie is kind beyond measure. She takes active initiative to make sure her peers feel included and supported forming collaborative study groups and even coordinating schedules so they can take classes together in the spring. Her positive attitude sets the tone for our entire learning environment.

Sophie, thank you for your leadership, your perseverance, and the generous spirit you bring to our school. Congratulations on being named our September Student of the Month!
