The Dubois County Sportsmen’s Club started our 53rd year with a meeting at the St. Anthony’s Conservation Clubhouse. Our newly elected and 13th President Jared Beck opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag 🇺🇸 of America. He welcomed over 60 members in attendance. Topics on the main agenda were demonstrations, reports, and deer head 🦌 measurements. It was a great evening of summer activity reports and educational activities. The fellowship was enjoyed by all.

Next scheduled meeting is September 21, 2026 at the American Legion in Ferdinand. We ask folks to bring an outdoor enthusiasts along and check out what the club is doing.

INDIANA FREE FISHING WEEKEND 🎣
Our 15th Annual Paul Klem Fishing Derby was held June 6, 2026. We had 42 kids participate fishing after an early overcast morning and later sunshine at the Jasper Outdoor Recreation Lake. Many wore boots to learn new techniques from veteran club anglers about fishing in overcast weather. The event co-chairmen were Shawn Werner and Dan Balka. Indiana Conservative Officer Jon Watkins gave a brief fishing and water safety talk. A special thank to club members who assisted the kids. Some served (14 club members) as “official fish measurers”.

The Dubois County Sportsmen’s Club would like to thank Jasper Outdoor Recreation for providing the lake and facilities. Also, the Huntingburg Conservation Club for grilling and providing lunch. The new ownership of Jasper’s “Cast and Blast” for providing shirts and fishing poles. These annual partnerships helped make this event a HUGH success! We thank club members that worked the event and parents that brought Kids.

We ask the parents of participants to post a photograph of their catch!
