2026 ASSESSMENT NOTIFICATIONS

NOTICE OF FILING OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant To Section 506 - Real Property Tax Law)
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor for the Town of Java, County of Wyoming, State of New York, has completed the 2026 Tentative Assessment Roll, and has filed a copy thereof with the Office of Town Clerk. The Tentative Roll is available for inspection at the Java Town Office, 4222 Route 98, North Java, during regularly scheduled hours, and also on Wyoming County’s website: https:// www.wyomingcountyny.gov
The Assessor, or someone designated by the Assessor, will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll May 11-22, Monday – Thursday from 10am – 6pm by phone, and in person on the following dates and times (you may visit either office):
Monday May 11th from 5PM – 7PM (Gainesville office; 2 Toolhouse Rd., Gainesville)
Tues, Thurs, & Fri May 12, 14, & 15th, from 1PM – 6PM (Java office)
Saturday May 16th from 11AM – 3PM (Java office)
Thursday May 21st from 1PM – 6PM (Java office)
Tuesday May 26th from 12Noon – 4PM (Arcade office; 7340 Route 98, Arcade)
Thursday June 4th from 12Noon – 4PM (Java office)
NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE BOARD OF REVIEW
(Pursuant To Section 512 - Real Property Tax Law)
The Board of Assessment Review will meet for the purpose of hearing and examining all written complaints in relation to assessments on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 4-8pm, at the Java Town Hall, 4222 Route 98, North Java; Appointments for Grievance are recommended.
Please call 585-689-9533 to schedule an appointment time.
Complaint forms (RP-524) must be completed and brought to the appointment to be heard by the Board of Assessment Review. A publication titled “How To File For A Review Of Your Assessment” and complaint forms are available online at http://www.tax.ny.gov/pit/property/contest/contestasmt.htm. Forms can also be obtained from the Assessor or from the Wyoming County Real Property Office.
