Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have officially finished our first week of J-Club! 🖤💛 We are so thankful to have your kiddos with us for another year of learning and fun.

As you know, we had to update our dismissal procedures and attendance policies this year. We want to sincerely thank everyone for walking through these changes with us. Most of our families have been very thoughtful, patient, and understanding as we have adjusted to the new procedures, and we truly appreciate your efforts to comply.

Whenever something new is implemented, there are bound to be adjustments, and we hope that from here, the process will only get easier as we all become more familiar with how everything works.

During this first week, we have offered some grace and leniency as everyone has been acclimating to the new process. Thank you for extending that same grace and understanding to us! Moving forward, however, we will be monitoring our procedures more closely and will reach out if any issues are identified regarding attendance or early check-outs.

We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to providing opportunities for our students to learn, build relationships, explore their interests, and, most importantly, have fun! We also look forward to engaging with our families and partnering with you to make this a wonderful and successful year for your child.

Please feel free to reach out at any time with any suggestions, questions, or concerns. Your feedback is always welcome!

Thanks again for your continued support as we work together to make J-Club a great experience!

Go Bulldogs! 🖤💛

Dear Jay Public Schools Families,

It is an honor and a privilege to introduce myself as the new Superintendent of Jay Public Schools. As I begin this journey, I want you to know how excited I am to work alongside our students, staff, families, and community members. Jay has a proud tradition, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help build upon that foundation.
Over the coming weeks and throughout the upcoming school year, you will hear us frequently talk about a guiding principle that shapes our decisions, expectations, and culture at Jay Public Schools:
The Standard is the Standard.
We want our families to understand what that means and why it is so important to our mission.
At Jay Public Schools, we believe school is about much more than earning grades; it is about preparing students for life. Every assignment, challenge, and activity provides an opportunity for students to grow, develop character, and become the best version of themselves. While academic success is important, our greater purpose is helping students develop the maturity, responsibility, resilience, and integrity they need to succeed long after they leave our classrooms.
When we say “The Standard is the Standard,” we are expressing our belief that every student, teacher, and staff member is capable of growth, accountability, and excellence. It is not simply a slogan, it is a commitment to uphold high expectations for everyone, regardless of circumstances, challenges, or backgrounds.
Our mission is to create a culture where every student grows academically while developing strong character. Our responsibility is not to lower expectations, it is to help every student reach them.
As parents and guardians, you are essential partners in this work. Together, we can help students understand that challenges are opportunities for growth, accountability builds character, and success comes through effort, perseverance, and support.
You will continue to hear us reference “The Standard is the Standard” because it serves as a reminder of who we are and what we believe. It reflects our commitment to preparing students not only for graduation, but for life.
The Standard is the Standard. We don't lower expectations, we raise support. Thank you for your partnership and for trusting us with your children each day.

Jeff Gibe
Superintendent, Jay Public Schools
