We still need your damage report forms! As of today, we've had over 2,500 self-reports. Thank you!

If your property was impacted, be sure to report the damage as soon as possible. Residents are asked to report property damage through the Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser's website. Search for your property by either name or street address at https://srcpa.gov/search and use the "Report Damage" button found under the "Owner Information section on your parcel page. If searching by street address, use abbreviations: Dr for Drive, St for Street, Blvd for Boulevard, etc.

For the section that asks for repair estimates: You may either make an estimate or wait until you have a better idea. An exact amount is not necessary.

Damage assessments are ongoing. FEMA individual assistance is not yet available in any county. (https://www.fema.gov/disaster/3655/designated-areas) We are waiting on the declaration and are continuing to provide updates to the state on our numbers.

As of October 15:
$165 million in damages based on self-reports.
Over 80 structures have been classified as destroyed
Around 300 structures have sustained major damage
Over 600 structures have sustained minor damage
Over 2,000 structures have been affected

Since Hurricane Isaias made landfall a week ago, more than 1,600 response missions have been completed. We are focused on delivering the critical supplies and resources needed to get people back on their feet and recover from this storm. We are operating 11 Points of Distribution across the Panhandle, which have given out:

✓ More than 270,000 shelf-stable meals
✓ Nearly half a million boxes of water
✓ Nearly 225,000 gallons of fuel
✓ More than 26,000 bags of ice and tarps
 
As recovery efforts continue, Florida has submitted a Major Disaster Declaration request to the federal government. We are requesting Public and Individual Assistance to help support Panhandle residents, local governments, and infrastructure affected by the storm.
 
In addition, we are now partnering with Emergency RV to provide temporary housing for Floridians displaced by Hurricane Isaias. We will be doing everything we can to help these families rebuild their homes, and in the meantime, we want them to be able to keep living in their communities with as little disruption to their daily lives as possible.

Food and supply distributions from community partners:
- Convoy of Hope, Pace Assembly of God, 3948 Hwy. 90 in Pace - 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., providing food, water, tarps, hygiene items, baby diapers, wipes, formula, bedding.

- Operation BBQ Relief will have meals at the following locations at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- Walmart at 9360 Navarre Parkway in Navarre
- Walmart at 6275 Highway 90 in Milton
- Walmart at 4965 Highway 90 in Milton

- Jack Brewer Foundation at Jernigan's Landing, 5158 Willing Street in Downtown Milton, Lunch at Noon on Saturday, October 17.

- Publix on Dogwood, 5854 Dogwood Drive, will have ice available on Saturday, October 17 from 12 - 4 p.m.

- Milton First Assembly of God, 6163 Dogwood Drive in Milton, will have tarps. Those in need should go to the front office at the church to ask for a tarp.

Multi-Agency Resource Center
Florida Division of Emergency Management has set up a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) in Santa Rosa County to help residents with recovery resources. FEMA will NOT be on-site at the MARC; other agencies will be providing assistance. The MARC is located at Pensacola State College, Milton Campus, in the gym, 5988 U.S. Highway 90 in Milton. Services will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The following resources will be available:

- Agency for Persons with Disabilities
- Department of Business and Professional Regulation
- Department of Children and Families
- Department of Commerce
- Department of Elder Affairs
- U.S. VA

Supplies available: Tarps, water, MREs, baby items, hygiene kits, cleaning kits, etc.

We are waking up this morning and taking a look of lots of change to our community. There was a lot of damage to property in Jay but so far no loss of life. We are thankful for everyone who has stepped up and assisted us in so many ways through this storm. Our fire crews worked many hours clearing roads and responding to calls but we were not alone. You the community stepped in and helped and it makes us proud to have a community like this to serve. If you haven't already, thank a farmer. There were numerous times they assisted with their equipment to open roads before we made our way through our district. As we continue to recover lets be patient and kind to one another and lend a hand to those still in need. Be safe cleaning and removing storm debris. It will take time but our community will be back stronger and better than before the storm.

Residents urged to refrain from burning hurricane debris

While there are no burn bans in place within the Hurricane Isaias impact area, residents are being asked to NOT BURN yard debris at this time for a number of reasons:

👮IT’S ILLEGAL: Burning of leaves, limbs and other yard trash is always prohibited within the City of Pensacola - Government, City of Gulf Breeze, City of Milton Florida and the City of Niceville regardless of emergency status.

📏DOESN’T MEET SETBACKS: Much of the impacted area is high density residential and cannot meet the required setbacks if not already prohibited by local ordinances. Those setbacks are that the pile must be less than 8 feet in diameter, 25 feet away from your home and the woodline or other combustible structure such as a fence or shed, 50 feet away from a paved public road and 150 feet from the nearest occupied building.

🚫NO AUTHORIZATIONS: The Florida Forest Service Blackwater Forestry Center is not authorizing acreage or large pile burns at this time.

🕰️NOT THE RIGHT TIME: Even if you were to meet all the requirements needed for small burn piles, many of our neighbors are either without power or working outside to clean up their homes and yards and the smoke is an unnecessary nuisance. Fresh, “green” wood creates very dense smoke and does not burn well and will only make a bad situation worse.

🍃WEATHER CONCERNS: High winds are forecast through the weekend and could make burning safely a challenge.

Florida Forest Service firefighters and other personnel are working alongside our emergency partners to help return our area to normal and this is not the time to add to the workload of firefighters and first responders or the stress of your neighbors.

Please place all vegetative debris at the roadside and utilize the county-contracted pickup services that are available.
