The National Weather Service has issued a risk for flash flooding on Tuesday (5/26/26) across Mississippi.

Areas of Mississippi could see:
🌧️2-3" of rain in less than 3 hours
🌊Areas of flash flooding
🛣️Roads may be flooded or closed
🏡Some structures could be threatened with inundation
🌊Minor river flooding is expected

A favorable weather pattern for heavy rainfall and flash flooding will peak Sunday into Monday. Areas mainly south of the Highway 82 corridor should see the greatest rainfall and chances for areas of flash flooding. Monitor for forecast updates and any changes to threat levels over the next few days.
