The tool package will go off tonight as well, it is currently still processing a few last orders, as soon as it is done i will raffle it off live. there are still 30 tickets unsold if anyone does want any but i will cut everything off by 8:30 pm so i can raffle tonight not too late.

ATTENTION ALL PEOPLE WHO BOUTGHT CURRENT RAFFLE TICKETS FROM JEANNETTE EMS…
Thursday at 6 pm (live on Facebook)we will raffle off the laptop and tool package, early. If the winning number on the tip board has not been sold we will pull a new number until we have a winner who purchased a ticket. There are still tickets available if anyone wants them (solely for a chance to win the prize) but no matter what the 2 raffle prizes will be given away.

As for the pressure washer raffle: we only sold 13 of those tickets so we will refund all 13 tickets. I will notify each person of how the refund will come… once I figure out the best way to do that. We will either refund through the cc company we used for ticket sales, mail checks out or offer cash pick up in some way. If anyone wants to move their ticket purchase to the tool kit or computer raffles please just fb messenger us and we will do so. More on the refunds TBD and TBA
I want to thank everyone who has helped support us with purchased fundraising tickets and donations over the many years we have been in business. We were trying to get back to good with fundraising on fb but unfortunately we just didn’t start raising funds quickly enough.
I personally worked for Jnt Ems from 1999 till 2016. Then became a board member only 6 months ago. My sole reason for becoming a board member was to help them with fundraising. I, along with others, just wanted to help where we could. We wanted all of the city residents to feel safe knowing they were protected by an EMS service. We wanted all of our employees to feel safe knowing they had a reliable job. It is heart breaking to see all of this happen, with the closure. In truth we have been struggling for the better part of the last 8 years. The struggles were just quickly amplified after the Covid crisis, as many businesses will admit to. So many people have given blood, sweat and tears to try to keep Jnt EMS afloat for sometime now. There is no one person to contribute our good times to nor our demise. It was always a group effort, and always towards the greater good of the company. With everyone in America being required to have health insurance, you would think that an ambulance base would be able to make money enough to survive, but this is not the case, for many smaller services. What insurance pays is truly minuscule compared to the cost of providing that service. This is all before even thinking about the rising cost of everything needed to run a business such as ours. We truly wanted to be here for the City and its residents for many more years to come. This said… we do hope all residents understand our position and we know there will be a lot of different questions. What we ask is for all questions to be called to our station and left in a voicemail. We will listen and respond to all of them. We ask that they are not publicly posted on Facebook. We will not be responding to questions posted on Facebook or any other public Internet forum. We still must abide by all privacy laws at all times.

Throughout the years, this service has done remarkable things for our patients. Our providers have stepped up to learn about new techniques, new medications and countless protocol changes. We’ve made it through leadership changes, pandemics and just about anything else that could be thrown our way. The biggest hit to not only us, but to any ambulance service is the poor reimbursement rates the insurance companies pay out and with that, we can unfortunately no longer provide services to the City of Jeannette. After 63 years, we have to cease operations as of 19:00 hours this date, July 3, 2023. Plans have been made to ensure ambulance coverage from neighboring services will be provided until a more solidified plan can be put into place.

We are sadly not the first service to have this happen to us and we will unfortunately not be the last. We urge you, speak with your government representatives. Let them know that a plan needs to be formulated to save EMS services before it’s too late. The alarm has been sounding for years now and no changes have been made.

For the residents, friends, visitors and everyone else in Jeannette, please know we appreciate everything you have done for us over the years. The donations, the cards, the treats. All of it has been appreciated. We ask that you please do the same for the services who will temporarily cover the city and, once named, the permanent provider for our great town.
